The Claregalway Community Choir (CGCC) was set up in Nov 2021 and grew within a year to a beautiful choir of 30 people.
In that short space of time, we have sung for: The Claregalway, Corrandulla & Monivea Shows; Darkness into light; Claregalway Garden Festival; People of the year awards; Galway City Mayor Awards.
Upcoming events include Carolling 2023 in the Galway Christmas Market, The The Galway Tenors Xmas concert, The Live crib at the Claregalway Day Center and their 2nd Christmas Concert at Claregalway Castle Dec 17th.
New members are welcome at any time. We rehearse on Tuesdays from 7:30-9:30pm in the Claregalway Educate Together National School and have a social evening once every 6 weeks for a cuppa and some home-baked goods.
Choir singing is a socially inclusive activity that provides many opportunities for friendship, performance, and workshops.
All that is required in this non-auditioned choir is the ability to hold a tune (Which most people can!)
